If you use your Apple’s built-in mail app on your iPad or iPhone, there is a hidden function that allows you to be notified as soon as someone replies to a mail message.

Most of my clients or subscribers who use the Mail app, have no idea that this feature even exists. So, in this post, I’d like to walk you through how to never miss an important message reply in the Mail app.

If you want to be notified as soon as someone replies to an important email or thread, follow these simple steps:

2. From your  Inbox or Sent folder, select the mail message or thread you want to be notified when replied to
3.  Tap the Flag icon above the message on the right

   

4. Next, tap Notify Me

   

5. You will see a bell icon located in the header of the message that signifies this message will notify you whenever it is replied to.

   

6. Now when some replies to that mail message, a notification banner will pop-up on your device’s screen (yes…this works for your iPhone too!)

   

7. To turn off future notifications for that same mail message or thread, tap the Flagicon above the message and select Stop Notifying.
