How To Use Your On-Screen Keyboard As a Trackpad
One of the biggest struggles I see with iPad users is selecting text for editing. In fact, many users don’t even select text to edit. They use the Delete key to delete backwards, sometimes through perfectly typed sentences, until they get to the word or words they’d like to edit.
Then they delete that word(s) and retype!
Not an efficient way to edit, is it?
But, there is a little known feature that quickly switches your iPad keyboard from text entry to a laptop-like trackpad.
The virtual trackpad feature makes it easier for users to put the cursor (insertion point) exactly where you want it. Then, with a tap or two select a word, sentence or paragraph to edit.
