Apple released its next major iOS update yesterday (September 13th), iOS 10.  One hour after the iOS public release, Apple released iOS 10.0.1.

The reason for the quick update is because the first release of iOS 10 had an install bug in it.  Anyone who installed iOS 10 during the first hour of its release using the over-the-air download saw their installation fail — effectively rendering their devices useless until plugged into iTunes on their computer for an update or restore.

Quite a few people were affected by this bug, including yours truly!  🙁

I was lucky. I eventually fixed my device and saved all its contents.

Guess what, during this minor install crisis I was quite calm and had no fear of losing data (which can easily happen with bad iOS updates like this).

What was the reason why I was calm?

I made it a priority to back up my device to both iCloud and iTunes on my computer before I initiated the iOS 10 update. I knew my data was safe.

And this is the very reason why I have created two new videos for you.
