Over the past month, I have been using the new ChatGPT AI (Artificial Intelligence-driven technology) to research topics I am working on or generally interested in.
For those of you who are not familiar with it, Chat GPT is a Natural Language Processing model (NLP) developed by Open AI and stands for Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer.
I know that is some tech-heavy jargon! I’ll try to simplify it better.
ChatGPT is an AI language model created by OpenAI. It can understand and respond to questions and statements people type in natural language. Think of it like having a conversation with a very smart robot that can understand and answer many different questions.
Based on natural language techniques that provide answers in a conversational way, ChatGPT’s power lies in its speed and understanding of complicated matters.
Where you could spend hours researching, understanding, and writing an article on quantum computing, ChatGPT can produce a well-written alternative in seconds.
I won’t get into the pros and cons of this technology in this post, but I will say I have been impressed with my experience working with it.
The website I have been using this technology with is chat.openai.com. The site provides a simple chat-box-like interface allowing you to ask a question and quickly receive a well-constructed answer in seconds.
Right now, the chat.openai.com service is free, and you can begin using it by simply creating an account.
As a diehard Evernote user, I want to capture, save, and organize my ChatGPT research in one workspace — Evernote.
Using the Evernote Web Clipper, I am able to clip my ChatGPT research results and save them to my project Notebooks in Evernote.
In the attached image 2, you can see how clean the data looks when saved into a Note within Evernote. Plus, once in Evernote, the saved ChatGPT results are editable giving me the ability to edit it right in the note or copy and paste content to other notes or supporting apps.
Using the combination of the new ChatGPT technology and Evernote’s Web Clipper capturing tool, I have increased my productivity substantially and minimized the time it typically takes me to complete similar workflows.
Overall, based on my experience, ChatGPT works great with Evernote Web Clipper and complements each other very well.
